In this role, you will provide the technology leadership for the Platform Services Center of Excellence.

Your teams will be working across the entire enterprise to ensure that our APIs and Streams are created in a manner that is consistent with a major financial institution and a technology company.
You must be able to provide career coaching and support for team members to develop their technical, business, and professional skills.
You'll be able to identify and remove impediments, while successfully driving towards key initiatives.
Building and maintaining strong relationships and earning and maintaining confidence with both customers and business leaders are critically important responsibilities for this role.
What you will need to bring for this position:
Experience developing, organizing and governing APIs / streams in an enterprise environment Passion for and expertise in how great architectural design accelerates innovation across apps, devices, and people Demonstrated ability to balance organizational risk appetite with innovation need Demonstrated history of cross-company, cross-discipline consensus building and influence A passion for an proven track record of working across organizations to build consensus and drive progress A detailed understanding of tools, trends, and patterns within the software architecture community, particularly with APIs Clear and concise communication across all levels and technical depths
Responsibilities:
Evolve a program of identifying, promoting, and maturing sustainable architectural patterns at Capital One, primarily on APIs Evangelize necessity of better design practices throughout architectural lifecycle management Demonstrate thought leadership both internally and externally Monitor competitors and industry to position strategy, anticipate market dynamics, and ensure resilient, long-lived practices Provide clear, actionable program advice to internal developer community Identify necessary product, tooling, and resourcing needs Access business drivers and apply them to appropriate architectural recommendation Reconcile disparate approaches across differing groups Revisit and refine ecosystem success metrics Work with team experts to develop training materials, training sessions, and training programs Coach and develop team members into fulfilling and career-defining work Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree At least 9 years' experience in software engineering development At least 7 years' experience building and leading engineering teams Preferred
